Birth place: Pewaukee, Wisconsin

Education:
Hobbies: Triathlon, Marathon, Mother of 2 beautiful children
Other Interests: working out, skiing, singing
Background: I
started racing triathlons in Kentucky 5 years ago with a
mountain bike, slick tires, in a pool. We moved to
Wisconsin and I saw an advertisement for a local triathlon and
was surprised to see that they did triathlons up here
too....little did I know at that time! For my 30th
birthday my husband presentedme with my first tri bike and the
rest is history!! I started training for triathlons by
biking a little, swimming a little less and running when I
could. Little did I know there was a science behind it
until I met Heather Haviland (pro triathlete) at a local bike
shop. She taught me about HR zones, power meters, tempo
runs, and how to swim more than 6 laps in a pool! Last
year I competed in the World Duathlon Championships in Concord,
NC and at the National Triathlon Championships in Tuscaloosa, AL
(but since I am not a superstar swimmer, swimming upstream was
not my forte).
In addition
to racing,
I am a physical therapist for Kohls Corporate Headquarters in
Wisconsin and I teach Adventure Boot Camps during the week.
I am also married to my biggest fan Steve and have 2 awesome
kids, Joey and Emily, who keep me extremely busy when I am not
running/biking/swimming/teaching...or working. This summer
I will be competing in local races at the shorter sprint
distances as I have been battling a ruptured calf muscle since
January.
What you would tell others about your Valdora bike: I am totally
pumped to be riding my new Valdora and was the second fastest
female on the bike in my race this past weekend!
